Makhachkala, July 28, 2016. Seven new schools for 3000 places will be opened in the republic before the start of the new academic year, the press service of the republican Education Ministry reports. Two schools and a new building for 300 seats School №37 will be commissioned in Makhachkala. This will allow to eliminate the three-shift mode of training in three general education institutions of the republic's capital in the new school year.

By the end of the year, within the framework of the republican program aimed at transition of all schools to one-shift training, a school for 1224 places will be opened in Kaspiysk to offload the educational institution №6.

Currently, 2370 pupils study in third shift in 16 three-shift schools across the republic. The situation is complicated by the high birth rate in and the outflow of population from rural to urban areas (sometimes the classroom occupancy makes up to 40 pupils in Makhachkala).

Until the end of 2016 the Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan plans to complete the construction of another five schools for more than 2 thousand pupils.
