Makhachkala, June 12, 2018. The project "School of Good Deeds - Mentor" has been selected as the winner of the first contest for the Presidential Grants in 2018. The project aims at increasing the number of socially competent children and adolescents in the field of volunteerism and creating conditions for the development of the system of continuity and mentoring.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to sel ect 30 mentors fr om among youth volunteer activists. They will undergo special training to conduct a series of lessons in the region for schoolchildren. Presumably, the lessons will be held in early September this year. The selection of mentors will go on a competitive basis among the experienced volunteers.

The "School of good deeds - mentor" is implemented by the Center for Development of Voluntary Initiatives. The head of the organization Lyudmila Saidova told that the key event of the project is to hold the First Volunteer Forum with the participation of about 150 schoolchildren. At the forum, they will be able to share their experience and learn new technologies. At the same time, the children will be told about the opportunities to receive support for the implementation of their volunteer initiatives.

The project will be completed in 2018. In total, 1,650 people will be involved during this time. At the same time, after the end of the implementation, the children who took part in the forum will be able to transfer the acquired knowledge to their native schools to younger students.

It is noted that such work will increase the number of socially competent children and adolescents in the field of volunteerism.
