Russian billionaires intend to invest in education

Makhachkala, January 26, 2017. The Russian edition of Forbes magazine published five educational centers invested by the Russian billionaires.
Among them, there is a "Perimeter" Center supported by Dagestani magnate Ziyavudin Magomedov. It will start to operate this fall. The main mission of the "Perimeter" is to develop the education for the Russian youth.

Another oligarch Ruben Vardanian actively invests in the education too. In 2014, Vardanian with his wife opened the boarding school UWC Dilijan College for the talented children in Armenia.

The billionaire Vadim Moszkowicz invested $ 50 million in the construction of school along the banks of the river in the village of Letovo. There will be located a campus for pupils and houses for teachers. Another $ 150 million, Moszkowicz allocated to establish an endowment fund that will cofinance the talented children’s education.

The wife of the former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, Maria Baturina created a project "The first Moscow private gymnasia”.The educational center "Sirius" takes the fifth place in the top five list of schools created by donations from the Russian Forbes billionaires.

The most famous of them are Roman Abramovich, Vagit Alekperov, Vladimir Potanin, Oleg Deripaska and Viktor Vekselberg.
