Makhachkala, March 31, 2015. Krasnoyarsk’s "Yenisei-STM" and Moscow’s "Slava-DSP" will compete for the Russian Super Rugby-15 Cup on May 9 at the "Dynamo" stadium in Makhachkala, the press service of the republican ministry of physical culture and sports told RIA Dagestan. It was the initiative of the Dagestan Rugby Federation put forward by its head - President Magomedrassul Issayev.

Vice-president of the Russian Rugby Premier League Ivan Lysko noted that the Russian Supercup final will give a momentum to developing rugby in Dagestan, "It’s a common knowledge that in Dagestan, power combat sports are more than just sports, they are a philosophy and a love of life. I am confident that rugby as a really man's game whose principles are similar to those of martial arts: courage, mutual respect, dignity and honour, will win the hearts of Dagestanis. That's why we said ‘yes’ to the Dagestan Rugby Federation’s idea to host the Supercup final game in Makhachkala."

The upcoming event will be attended by deputy Head of the European Rugby Board Douglas Langley, who also plans to hold a workshop in Dagestan.
