RIA "Dagestan" obtains Internet Award "Prometheus - 2014"

Makhachkala, December 5, 2014. The republican information agency "Dagestan" has become  the winner of the annual Internet Award "Prometheus - 2014" in the category "The best information agency of the North Caucasus."

The winner has been determined by a vote of the expert jury from all regions of the North Caucasian Federal District. Having become the best agency across the North Caucasus, the RIA "Dagestan" passed over such online resources as RIA KCR, IA "Grozny-Inform" MK-Caucasus and RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria".

In an interview with journalists, the director of the republican information agency Magomed Magomedov confessed that the victory was achieved not only by the agency journalists’ accomplishments and achievements, but also thanks to every reader looking through daily news on the website RIA “Dagestan”. Magomed Magomedov also thanked the organizers and the competent jury.

"In recent years, the republican website has changed: we introduced a possibility to post multimedia content and info graphics. Next year, we will be able to handle 3D content on the website, as well as a number of new technologies. The modernization of the website will be continued"- M. Magomedov noted.

According to the agency director, the RIA "Dagestan" actively cooperates with other news agencies both regional across the North Caucasus Federal District and the federal ones, such as RIA "Novosti", ITAR-TASS, Interfax, Russia Today.

"Today we partner closely with the North Caucasian information websites, and also with Russia Today, RIA" Novosti ", Turkish news agency Anadoglu", - M. Magomedov concluded.

The contest "Prometheus" is deservedly considered as one of the most important annual events in the life of online communities of the Northern Caucasus. The number of participants, the level of nominees and winners is constantly growing.
