Representative of Dagestan in Karachay-Cherkessia meets with students Dagestanis

Makhachkala, December 8, 2015. The permanent representative of the Government of Dagestan in Karachay-Cherkessia Magomed Magomedov held a regular meeting with the students, the natives of Dagestan in the neighboring republic.

The meeting participants spoke about the ways to counter the ideology of terrorism and extremism among students. According to Magomedov, the meeting with young countrymen was organized within the framework of the comprehensive program to combat the ideology of terrorism in the Republic of Dagestan for 2015, taking into account the activities of international terrorist organizations around the world, including in the North Caucasus republics.

During the discussion, it was noted that combating terrorism in modern conditions primarily implies the struggle with its ideology, the dissemination of which constantly replenished the extremists’ groups, terrorist thugs and the number of their supporters.

The young people are one of the most susceptible to the influence of the extremists’ ideology categories of population because of their social and psychological characteristics. That is why the instigators and ideologists of extremism and terrorism consider them as the main source for the replenishment of ranks of their followers.

Magomedov called for students to be vigilant, not to interfere in any discussions and dialogues on the subject of terrorism and extremism.
