Makhachkala, November 27, 2018. The pupils of the Intellectual Development Center "Pifagorka" from Makhachkala were among the best by results of the Open Championship of Russia in mental arithmetic held on November 26 - 27 in St. Petersburg.
As to the Center employee, seven students aged 6 to 12 participated in the event.  Some of them were the winners and medalists of the municipal, regional and international mental arithmetic contests.

As a result, six Dagestanis won the first places in various nominations: Maryam Ziyadova, Inzhi Magomedova, Khadizha Alieva, Alibi Zhubaev, Nabigula Magomedov and Yekaterina Gorokhova. The latter became the absolute champion in mental arithmetic in her category.

Recall, the mental arithmetic is a technique for developing mental abilities using arithmetic calculations on accounts (soroban, abacus).
