Problems of developing cultural environment and economy in Russian regions to be discussed at forum in Daghestan

Makhachkala, April 7, 2014.The international cultural and investment forum "Culture and economy of regional policy in modern context" will be held in the House of Friendship in Makhachkala, April 22-23, Daghestan ministry of culture official reports.

The forum is held as part of the annual Moscow Forum of Culture "Culture as a strategic resource in Russia of the 21st century", the annual international symposium "Universities of culture and arts in the world’s educational space", and the annual Daghestan Economic Forum.

The forum is an initiative of Daghestan government and the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts of the Russian Ministry of Culture.

The main goal of the forum held as part of the Year of Russian Culture is to discuss the major problems of a balanced and synchronized development of the cultural environment and the economy in Russian regions and their territorial models allowing harmonization of the cultural and socio-economic dynamics of the regional development and overcoming crises and instability in socio-economic development of Russian regions.

The forum will also feature an exhibition of artists and artisans - winners of Daghestan festival-contest of traditional and classical art forms, a crafts fair, a celebration of the national cuisine, a meeting of the Gnessin State Musical College with the staff and students of Daghestan musical college and music schools, and a meeting with Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov.
