Makhachkala, March 24, 2017. Ziyavudin Magomedov's charitable foundation PERI within the framework of the international program "Cultural Heritage 2.0" is beginning to digitize the archives of the eastern manuscripts of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Foundation official says.

"The program, which is being implemented since September 2015, is aimed at preserving unique samples of cultural heritage with the help of modern technologies for the formation of the cultural identity of the Russian youth and enriching the cultural and scientific foundation of the mankind. One of the directions of the program envisages the creation of digital archive of the eastern manuscripts kept in the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and private collections" - the source noted.

The program is implemented in partnership with the Spanish Foundation Factum Foundation. The digital archive of manuscripts will be available to scientists around the world.
