Makhachkala, February 28, 2018. Ziyavudin Magomedov's charity Foundation "Peri" renders support in digitizing the Ginzburg collection in the Russian State Library, the press service of the Foundation reports.

The collection of the Ginzburg barons is a unique collection of Jewish manuscripts and printed publications. This is the second largest collection of Hebrew literature in the world. "Thanks to the support of Peri, about two thousand manuscripts and thousands of books of the collection will be digitized. Then the high-quality images of scanned manuscripts and prints will appear in the RSL electronic library and become a part of the huge digital resource of the National Library of Israel "Ktiv". The specialist of the "Ktiv" National Library will collect and make public available the digital copies of all known Jewish manuscripts" – the press officer is quoted saying.

Recall the agreement on the digitization of collection was signed in Jerusalem on November 7, 2017 among the Russian State Library, the National Library of Israel and the charity Foundation "Peri".

As a result, the researchers around the world will get access to the high-quality images of scanned manuscripts. All the images will be supplemented with bibliographic descriptions performed in accordance with the modern standards.
Currently, the manuscript part of the collection is being digitized. The digitization of the first 428 manuscripts will be completed by the end of 2018. At the moment, several dozen manuscripts had already been digitized and stored in the Russian State Electronic Library.
