As to Ibraghim Magomedov, the head doctor of the republican medical institution two new departments, outpatient chemotherapy and geriatrics, will be opened in 2020 at Republican Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Dagestan. This has been announced at the press conference in Makhachkala held on Wednesday. Magomedov noted that in 2020 the republican Public Health Ministry supported the initiative to open an outpatient chemotherapy department for the treatment of patients with tumor diseases. Now there will be outpatient chemotherapy and oncology beds in the hospital.

“The only thing we don’t have is radiation therapy. Radiation therapy needs to be concentrated in one place, where there are appropriate specialists and infrastructure” - Magomedov said. Besides, the head physician said, another department of geriatrics will appear in the hospital №2 this year.
