Makhachkala, July 12, 2019. The new travel portal, WelcomeDagestan.ru has started operating on the Internet. The portal will become a guide for the tourists during their trip across Dagestan. Thanks to the information resource the travelers can learn about the sights of Dagestan and visit them.

The developers of the site have collected useful information for the travelers not only about the interesting excursions and tours but also the most convenient ways to get to the necessary area. Besides, the site administrator attached photos, videos, descriptions, interesting facts and even legends for each sight. The portal contains information about 400 facilities across the republic on an interactive map; the places for catering, accommodation, entertainment, cultural and natural heritage sites. For the convenience of tourists there are guest houses, cafes and marked routes in the mountains.

Over the last few years, people have been displaying the growing interest to the history of Dagestan. The republic has always attracted attention with its culture, beauty of nature and delighted with its hospitality.

Eldar Rasulov, the project manager, said that the activity of travel photographers and travel bloggers who tell about the sights of their ancestral village is very important. The head of the ShangereevTour travel agency, Shamil Shangreeyev, told that the need to create such a site that would systematize all the useful information for the travelers has been a long time coming.

Shangreeyev added that the interest to the republic is growing, the tourism industry is developing and, therefore, it is just necessary to keep up with the times.
