National Instrument Day concert held in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, April 24, 2015. The National Instrument Day concert was held yesterday in the House of Friendship in Makhachkala, a source in the house told RIA Dagestan.

The event was organized by methodologists of the National Instrument Laboratory of the House of Friendship with an eye to preserve and develop folk musical and instrumental traditions, stimulate interest in the national musical instrumental art of the republic, and promote national folklore and instrumental music.

Here performed honored artists of Dagestan and the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Derbent Music School headed by of Honored Artist of Dagestan Nasir Shakhmuradov. The concert was also visited by deputy republican minister of industry, trade and investment Gerey Aliyev and deputy minister of national Policy Arsen Makhmudov.

Director of the House of Friendship Tekrar Akhmedov expressed his gratitude for the public’s interest in the national culture, assistance in organizing the concert and vivid participation.
