Makhachkala, December 8, 2017. Dagestan is actively developing high-tech medicine. Ultra-modern technologies are being introduced in many medical institutions of the region. The number of high-tech heart operations in the republic increased by 30% in 2017, the press service of the regional Public Health Ministry reports.

At the beginning of the current year almost 850 operations using high technologies in the field of cardiovascular surgery were conducted in Dagestan. At present, Dagestani cardiologists conduct such surgical interventions every day. The leader is Dagestan Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Center, as well as the Republican Clinical Hospital and the City Clinical Hospital No. 1.

According to the representative of the ministerial press service, for the present time, almost 20 state and private clinics have a license to conduct cardiovascular surgery operations in Dagestan.
