Makhachkala, March 19, 2018. More than 300 orphans will receive new housing under state target program in Dagestan in 2018, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic reports. The new apartments will be granted to 313 orphans and children left without parental care. For these purpose, the republican budget allocates 150 million RUR in 2018. The federal budget additionally allocates more than 107 million RUR.

Jamal Atayev, the head of the children’s rights protection department of the Ministry of Education and Science RD noted that 2 867 orphans and children left without parental care remain in the queue for housing. "The total need for funds is more than 2 billion rubles" - Atayev added.

It should be noted that the program is implemented in accordance with the Federal Law "On Additional Guarantees for the Social Support of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care". In 2017, 322 orphans and children left without parental care moved to the new housing.
