More than 100 representatives of youth organizations participate in "Caucasus: Legacy" Forum

Makhachkala, July 30, 2016. About 120 representatives of governmental and non-governmental youth organizations, associations and institutions, as well as the specialists of executive bodies from 40 subjects of the Russian Federation are taking part in the historic Forum "Caucasus: Legacy", the organizing committee official reports. The work of the Youth Forum started on July 28 on the territory of the summer camp "Lastochka" in Karabudakhkent ditrict of Dagestan.

Even before the official opening of the event, all the participants get familiarized with the program, the team of trainers and the rules of stay on the territory of the camp.

First, the coach and the representative of Dagestan regional noncommercial organization "ARGO" Vladimir Galyaev held a seminar entitled "Why history is not mathematics, or a bit on manipulation of consciousness". According to the lecturer, there was too much manipulation in the history, so any historical information must be treated very carefully.

During the official opening ceremony, a number of guests of honor addressed the Forum participants with good wishes and shared their own impressions on the event.

Noteworthy, the organizers of the Forum are Dagestan regional noncommercial organization "Civil Society Assembly" with the support of the Office of the plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation President in the North Caucasian Federal District and the Federal Agency for Youth Policy.

The Forum aims at familiarizing all interested with the history of Dagestan, the Caucasus and their role in the Russian history. Its secondary objective is to develop "horizontal" social connections among the youth leaders and students in different Russian regions.

The Forum attendees take part in the discussion and creative work sites, watch the presentation of national costumes, traditions and rituals of participating regions, listen to master classes given by the federal experts on the subject of international relations.

The Forum’s program also envisages trips to the historically significant places located in Derbent, Makhachkala and Gunib. A special participants’ resolution will be adopted in the end. The Forum comes to the end on August 3.
