Makhachkala to host III political science forum "Russian Caucasus"

Makhachkala, December 9, 2015. On December 9-14, Makhachkala will host the III International Political Science Forum "Russian Caucasus" organized by the Federal Agency for the Affairs of Nationalities with the support of the State Duma Committee on Nationalities, the Government of Dagestan, the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dagestan Institute of Economics and Politics and the republican branch of the Russian Political Science Association.

According to organizers, the event is expected to create favorable conditions for strengthening national identity, interethnic and civil consent, the growth of national consciousness, to contribute to understanding the place and role of the Caucasus in general, historical, cultural, political and cultural space of the country and the unity of the Russian nation.

The forum will consist of plenary sessions, thematic round tables, field seminars, exhibitions, workshops, discussion platforms, as well as several cultural events. Besides, a 5-day all-Russian school of political science will be opened within the framework of the event.
