Makhachkala innovative university becomes the first to create studying conditions for students with disabilities in Russia

Makhachkala, August 7, 2014. Makhachkala innovative university will create all conditions for persons with disabilities, the university’s rector Magomed Abakarov informs. "In accordance with the prescription of Rosobrnadzor and the Article 79 of the Law" On Education in the Russian Federation ", the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation "On the licensing of educational activities "and other normative documents, our educational institution will set up special conditions for education of learners with disabilities" – M. Abakarov informed.

In order to enable continuous access of persons with disabilities to the educational building there have been installed a vertical lifting platforms, handrails in the corridor of the first floor, a separate toilet room with extended doorway, handrails in an audience of inclusive education with the necessary computer equipment, medical and procedural classrooms, library and gym.
Medical personnel capable to provide students and academic staff with high quality health services will keep watch in the medical office.

The innovation university will hold additional group and individual lessons (consultations, electives) at the request of students, organize free two meals for students with disabilities in specially designated areas. If needed, special individual programs of physical education will be developed.
