Makhachkala hosts IV Congress of religious leaders of North Caucasus

Makhachkala, December 16, 2016. Today, the religious leaders of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) will gather in the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala, for the Fourth Congress of religious leaders of the North Caucasus. The main goal of the event will become "The Role of Islamic organizations in maintaining peace and stability".

Apart from the religious leaders of the Northern Caucasus, the heads of religious organizations in Tatarstan and Crimea, as well as the management of the International Islamic Mission, the representatives of state bodies and public organizations will attend the congress, the press-service of Dagestan Committee on Freedom of Conscience and Cooperation with Religious Organizations informs.

The congress participants will discuss inter-confessional life of the region, the issues devoted to the strengthening stability in the North Caucasus Federal District, the spiritual and moral education of youth.

It should be noted that the event is initiated by the Committee on Freedom of Conscience together with the religious organizations and Dagestan muftiat.
The conference will take place in the hall of the House of Friendship in Makhachkala.
