The first exhibition-fair of the local light industry enterprises has taken place in Suleyman Stalsky park in Makhachkala the day before. The event brought together about 50 local commodity producers. These are the representatives of clothing and textile enterprises, shoe factories, enterprises of folk-art crafts and specialized secondary educational institutions.

Rizvan Gazimagomedov, the vice premier of Government of the Republic of Dagestan, Anna Maksimova, the representative of the Light industry Department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Yan Belyaev, the Director General of the National Footwear Union and Viktor Kunza, the Director General of Caprice Vostok get familiarized with the goods exhibited by Dagestan manufacturers.

The businessmen told the guests about the peculiarities of production of their products, shared the difficulties they face in the process of mass sales and received recommendations on the further economic development of their own brands.

After the official opening ceremony, the participants moved on to the business program. Thus, there was a round table devoted to the status and prospects of development of the light industry in the region. The event completed with a demonstration of ethnic-style collections, master-classes on tapestry weaving, graphic design, painting and express method of clothing modeling.
