Makhachkala, October 26, 2017. During the Soviet era, Izberbash wine and cognac factory (IWCF) supplied the regions with the wine-making raw materials. Then, in the late 1990s, it was reoriented to produce finished products of cognac and champagne wine.

For the present time, the wine and cognac factory “Izberbashsky” produces almost 180 thousand deciliters of cognac distillate.

The cognac production is a more laborious and lengthy process. The drink ripens in oak barrels for several years depending on the variety. The main product of the plant is the sparkling champagne which turns into champagne from primary wine material in special containers within 17 days in strict accordance with special technology that allows producing more than 3 million bottles per year.
The plant plans to start producing branded grape vodka and balsam from Dagestan herbs.

Recently, the enterprise has been included into a special tourist route in Dagestan. The plant administration expects an influx of guests and prepares to get familiarize the tourists with the wine technologies.
