Makhachkala, April 17, 2017. The international youth forum "For mutual understanding in the Caucasus" kicks off in Makhachkala on April 19, the press service of Dagestan State University reports.

The forum is initiated by the DGU with the support of Rosmolodezh and the subordinated institution "International Youth Center" FSBI.
The event aims to promote harmonization of interethnic relations in the youth environment, to develop the process of strengthening the Russian identity and mutual enrichment of the cultures of different peoples.

The platform of the Forum will bring together the representatives of socially active youth, as well as the heads of public organizations and patriotic associations, the representatives of student self-government bodies, young journalists and bloggers from all subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District and the southern regions of the country.

The forum is conducted within the framework of the Action Plan to support the development of student associations developed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the anniversary events timed to the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the DSU.
