First stage of all-Russian anti-drug action kicks off in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, March 16, 2018. The first stage of the all-Russian anti-drug action "Tell me where they sell death!" is taking place these days in Makhachkala, the press service of the mayor's office reports. The action that pursues the idea to inform and involve the public to participate in counteracting illicit drug trafficking, to check operatively relevant information and alo to provide assistance on the treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts, will last until March 23.

Within the framework of the action, the employees of the Directorate for Drug Control of the Interior Ministry, the representatives of the Mayor’s Office, the commission for juvenile affairs, the prosecutor's office, the narcologists, the psychologists and the others meet with the schoolchildren and students. The adolescents and the young people are told about the dangers of drug use, as well as on the criminal and administrative responsibility for illicit trafficking of banned substances.

The meetings already took place with the teens of schools No. 36 and No. 51 and the students of the construction and polytechnic colleges. The youngsters were told about the cases of official practice, when minors were involved in drug trafficking. The lecturers told about the responsibility for storage, sale, transportation, as well as the use of banned substances provided for by the Russian Federation legislation. The young people have been called to be vigilant and law-abiding citizens, to lead a healthy lifestyle, to engage in sports and stay away from drugs.

At the end of the meetings, the guys were given booklets "Say No to Drugs!" And memos with phone numbers on which one can contact the law enforcers to inform on the offense being committed.
The organizers call for citizens to be vigilant and take an active part in the events. Not a single appeal will be left without attention, the law enforcers assure.
