Makhachkala, July 3, 2018. Upon request of interim Dagestani governor Vladimir Vasilyev, more than 2 thousand power engineers will arrive in the republic on July 20 to start work on restoring order in the regional power supply system. This was announced July 2 by the republic’s leader, speaking at the Strategic Session in Makhachkala.

Vasilyev said about 700 specialized cars will operate in the republic. The power engineers will install 9 thousand energy towers, 17 thousand metering devices. They will also lay fire-safe protected copper wires that do not give losses. The work will be carried out by the power engineers of the federal center in six districts of Dagestan. For these purposes, 1 billion 300 million rubles will be allocated in total.

"Our task is to assist in the work scheduled. As soon as we do this, we will have an efficient electric grid with no losses and the good control and accounting system. Thus we turn to the legal field. Without this, we will not escape the sudden drop in voltage surges. After all, everyone suffers, the customers first. The electric grid in the high mountainous areas are severely deteriorated. There are a lot of such examples ... You all know this well. The work will be conducted in six districts so far, then we will go further" - Vladimir Vasiliev said.
