El Salvador Ambassador visits Daghestan Permanent Mission

Moscow, October 22, 2014. A delegation of the El Salvador Embassy to the Russian Federation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Claudia Kanhura de Centeno visited the Daghestan Permanent Mission at the Russian President in Moscow, the press service of the permanent mission told RIA "Dagestan".

Interim Daghestan Permanent Envoy Zumrud Mugutdinova and President of the International Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Murad Kuyaev met the guests from the Central American state at the mission.

Ambassador Claudia Kanhura de Saint made a brief presentation of her country focusing on their successful trade and economic cooperation with Russia. She said that the El Salvador Embassy in Russia opened its doors two years ago. One of the embassy’s priorities today is to keep on strengthening relations with Russia and its regions.

During the meeting, participants discussed cooperation prospects between the 2 countries in private enterprise, healthcare, tourism, humanitarian activities and education.

Parties paid particular attention to cultural exchange. Ambassador Claudia Kanhura said that learning the cultural values of Russian regions, especially the multinational Daghestan, is good for establishing closer relations between the two countries. To this end, she proposed they hold a comprehensive presentation of El Salvador in Daghestan, which "will appeal to the Daghestanis as a nation similar in temper."

Summing up the meeting, Zumrud Mugutdinova said: "In the near future, we will think over all aspects of possible cooperation, including humanitarian and cultural cooperation."
