DSTU student wins Race Walking Cup at "Tsamauri" festival

Makhachkala, August 20, 2014. The representative of Daghestan State Technical University has won the Race Walking Cup at the cognitive and ecological tourism festival "Tsamauri", which took place in Daghestan on August 11 - 14, the press service of the university, informs.

"The team of DSTU consisted of Murad Goychuev, Gamzat Gamzatov Ali Azizov and Rinat Zakayev took part in the bright and large-scale event. The representatives of the university made a hiking route, which ended in Tlyaratinsky district of Daghestan where the "Tsamauri" festival was organized. By the end of the pedestrian competition the student of DSTU Murad Goychuev was announced as the winner. The chairman of Tourism Committee RD Magomed Isayev presented him a trophy"- the higher school administration official told.

All the participating teams undertook hiking trails of the first grade of complexity.
The touristic route consisted of the following stages: departing from Makhachkala to the village of Gochob in Charodinsky district, the access to the route, overcoming Geleskolu saddle, the ridge of Akhal - Hazah towards the village of Somoda in Shamilsky district, leaving the village Somoda overcoming the ridge towards the village of Kechoda in Tlyaratinsky district, leaving Bezhoda along the river through the villages Mazalinka Nachada, Zhazhada, Mazada and Noyruh in Tlyaratinsky district with finish and campsites on the ancient meadow Tsamauri located on the mountainside.  

Then a tourist obstacle (rope town) for competitions and training workshops for students and scholars of various educational institutions was organized. On the sixth day, the organizers summarized the festival and awarded the competitors. After the official ceremonial part, the teams took part in the republican rally for cognitive and ecological tourism within the framework of the II International Festival of Traditional Culture "Tsamauri."

"Tsamauri" – is a holiday uniting the best traditions of national culture of Dagestan. Welcoming the participants of the concert, the Head of the Republic Ramazan Abdullatipov noted that the festival unites all peoples regardless of borders and nationalities. The festival helps to revive the traditional culture of our people, to find the spirit of Daghestan, identity and, of course, their prospects.
