DSTU and Tianjin University hold video conference "Great Victory in the Great War"

Makhachkala, April 30, 2015. Representatives of Dagestan State Technical University and Tianjin University of China held a video conference on "Great Victory in the Great War" yesterday, the press service of the university told RIA Dagestan.

The conference prepared by DSTU vice-rector for educational and social work Marina Kotenko in collaboration with the Department of Domestic History and Philosophy was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Head of the Domestic History Department Arsen Bulatov noted the role of Russia and China in the political arena, said that the countries as strategic partners on a number of key international problems often share similar views on issues relating to international peace and sustainable development of the world.

The Chinese side – Master Guan Zhuntin and Bachelor Zhao Haiyan – said they hoped the countries would maintain fruitful Russian-Chinese cooperation.
The event also brought together students of the university, because the conference was both important in patriotic education of the younger generation and contributed to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.

In DSTU, they are confident that events like that help today's youth treat with respect their historical heritage and have a better understanding of their history. In the end, all participants commemorated the fallen on the battlefield with a moment’s silence.
