Doctor Arsen Rasulov takes Government Prize in Science and Technology for 2016

Makhachkala, February 9, 2017. Dagestan doctor, the Department Head at the "Russian Oncological Scientific Center named after Blokhin" Arsen Rasulov has become the laureate of the Government Prize in the field of science and technology for 2016.

The award ceremony took place on 2 February with the participation of the Russian Federation Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva. The prize has been awarded for the scientific work "Development and implementation of an interdisciplinary strategy in the treatment of colorectal cancer" developed by the native of Dagestan Arsen Rasulov.

"This is the result we have achieved as a team. The work of several representatives of health care organizations on the basis of my doctoral dissertation. It includes modern treatment approaches for colon cancer ", - Rasulov said.

Arsen Rasulov was born in Makhachkala. In 1992 he graduated from Dagestan State Medical Institute. In the same year he moved to Moscow and entered the clinical residency in General Surgery at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Then Rasulov graduated the Residency at Botkin Hospital and clinical graduate school at the State Scientific Center of Coloproctology. Rasulov and started his career and defended his doctoral dissertation in the Botkin Hospital. Since February 2013, Doctor of Medical Science Rasulov is the head of the  Oncological Proctology Department of the federal state budgetary institution " Russian Oncological Scientific Center named after N.Blokhin".
