Makhachkala, October 13, 2014. The "Digital Library – books by click" project was presented at the Gamzatov National Library in Makhachkala as part of the third Daghestan book fair "Tarki-Tau - 2014".

Daghestan minister of press and information Aznaur Ajhiev stressed that the event was of great importance for developing and popularizing national literature in the digital space.

The library stock provides both school books and books to read. The school books are both textbooks and compulsory belles-lettres included in the academic curriculum. The major goal now is making the whole stock free of charge.

Currently, the authors want to install "street libraries" in the republic's capital and make the library available in the public transport. The next step is to cover schools and colleges. The first city to have the library installed would be Makhachkala; the other cities in line are Derbent, Khasavyurt, Kaspyisk, then followed by other cities and regions.
