Days of Daghestan culture to be held in Volgograd

Makhachkala, May 14, 2014. The Days of Daghestan culture will be held in Volgograd on May16 - 17, the National Policy Ministry RD reports.
The main goal of the event is to introduce culture, history and traditions of different nationalities of the Russian Federation to each other, to strength and to develop friendship and mutual respect among the peoples.

Daghestan delegation includes the representatives of Government, the National Policy Ministry, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy, the Tourism Committee, the Writers' Union, Daghestan Union of Artists, the Museum of Fine Arts named after  P. Gamzatov, Daghestan State Ensemble " Lezghinka " and the folk ensemble of Akushinsky district.

The program of festivities includes the flowers laying ceremony to the Eternal Flame in the Alley of Heroes, the solemn opening of the memorial plaque to R.Gamzatov in Volgograd Regional Universal Library named M. Gorky, the ceremony of signing an agreement on trade, economic and cultural cooperation between Kletskaia region (Volgograd region) and Akushinsky district of Daghestan and the opening the trade fair of Daghestan folk crafts and an exposition of Daghestan artists.

Volgograd region and Daghestan have long -established contacts. The exchange of cultural traditions and the establishment of trade and economic ties, the patriotic education of the youth and becoming knowledgeable about histories of the Great Patriotic War heroes are only a small part of the whole that unites these two fraternal peoples of Russian regions .
