Makhachkala, June 9, 2014. On June 8, the DSU voluntary service organization held a charity event "Love is… giving hope", the university’s press service told RIA" Daghestan". 50 volunteers headed by the organization’s founder Alikhan Magomirzoev launched the charity event to help children with cerebral palsy.

The students were divided into 3 groups, each going to a specified point: the first group went to the "Dragon" park, the second one headed to the Rhodope Boulevard, and the third one made their way to the Makhachkala central square and the nearby Komsomol Park. The activists raised money by selling «Love is» chewing gums and balloons. The campaign was quite a success - the students raised almost RUB 40,000.

"All proceeds will fund treatment of 3-year old Amina Abdulaeva from Shamilkala village. The girl with cerebral palsy is a victim to a postnatal head injury also suffering from disturbed muscle tone. Doctors gave Anima no hope, but her mother Zagidat is fighting for her life,"- said the university’s representative.

Holding charity events to help cure sick children has become a tradition to the university. This time, the students gave hope for a healthy life to another little patient.
