Makhachkala, July 22, 2014. On July 20, Daghestani minister of press and information Aznaur Adzhiev met with young journalists under the project "Citizen Journalism School". Aznaur Adzhiev - one of the most publicly accessible ministers, who keeps active accounts in social networks generally outlined the work of the ministry and shared some plans for the future.

"The daily increasing inflow of correspondence, if reading it personally, can turn minister into an official who deals exclusively with paper, cases and documents, but I believe that the main task of the minister is to manage local mass media. Especially, the minister has to develop a strategy to engage in work ", - Adzhiev said.

The Minister expressed his grave concern over extinction of national languages on television, in print and on the Internet. According to Aznaur Adzhiev, the difficulty is that young professionals do not know their own language well enough to write down professional articles.  For these reason, the problem of the national language in the local mass media Aznaur Adzhiev connects with mother-language education in families and in schools. Having told about it the minister also noted about Ramazan Abdulatipov’s instructions to open training centers of national languages for all comers at universities.

The meeting participants also discussed the issues related to the integration of TV and print media in the Internet. Responding to a question, the minister noted:
"When the cinema appears, they said that the theaters will disappear. When TV was established, people said that the movie would disappear. Nevertheless, people still go to the cinema and to the theater. The Internet is only a mean of transmitting information."

In conclusion, the minister wished success the future journalists and gave instructions:

"Don’t use the contraction of words even in personal messages. Try to write without errors, because it becomes a habit and affects your style of writing. Read books published before 1991, because proofreading during the Soviet Union was at the highest level. You are journalists and you have a great force in your hands. Use it right. "
