Makhachkala, July 11, 2014. Daghestan emergency medicine center provides specialized medical care to refugees, medical director of the center Kazanfar Kurbanov told RIA "Daghestan".
"Since the day refugees from Ukraine arrived in Daghestan, our centre and the #2 republican hospital, the center for specialized emergency medical care, have been administering specialized emergency medical aid and supplying necessary medication. Our medical brigades and "emergency" teams were sent to temporary accommodation facilities for IDPs from Ukraine to render medical assistance, carry out medical examination, detect and prevent diseases," he said.
He added that more than 100 refugees sought medical assistance; some of them were taken to other specialized medical institutions for inpatient treatment. The 2 medical organizations also donated their day earnings to the refugees from Ukraine.
