Makhachkala, September 1, 2015. Dagestanis have taken part in the Second Family International Festival, held in the village of Zakharovo of Odintsovo district, Moscow region the last weekend, the press service of administration of Dagestani Head and the Government reports.

This year, the festival brought together the delegations from Ecuador, Mexico, Cuba, Serbia, as well as different regions of Russia. For the first time the representatives of Karachayevo-Cherkessia, Dagestan and Ingushetia have become the festival participants.

The honorary guests of the festival were the People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Burlyaev, the mixed martial arts fighter, boxer Juliya Berezikova, the World and European champion, multiple champion of Russia on boxing Nina Abrosova, the 5-time Olympic champion and multiple world champion in ski racing Larissa Lazutina, the famous fashion designer Olga Kalashnikova and many others.

Besides, the event was attended by the deputy Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Mikhail Vedernikov, the minister of culture of Karachay-Cherkessia Madina Gogova, the head of administration of Nogai district in Karachay-Cherkessia Enver Kereytov.

"This year we decided to expand the geography of our festival. We have accepted participants from Central America, the CIS, Baltic countries, the Crimea and other regions of Russia, but from the Caucasus - not, - the chief organizer of the festival, Honored Artist of Russia, artistic director and director of "Imperial Russian Ballet" Gediminas Tarand noted, who has recently came to the Youth Forum "Mashuk-2015". – Being to “Mashuk”, I have noticed many amazingly talented people living in the North Caucasus. It’s not the first time I come to the forum, but the Caucasian hospitality, culture, deep traditions never cease amazing me. That is why I decided that the Northern Caucasus should by all means be represented at the festival.

I asked the embassy to realize this idea. The colleagues were happy to help, the heads of the republics supported us, and the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkessia, Ingushetia and Dagestan have arrived.
I would like to thank the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov, the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov and Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov for their contribution to the festival organization. Frankly, all the guests of our forum were really surprised tasting the Caucasian cuisine. "

According to Gediminas Taranda, the platforms of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Dagestan and Ingushetia were very popular among the festival visitors. There were so many those who wanted to try the stewed black grouse, sheep baked clay, or the famous Ingush chapilg, as well as many other Caucasian dishes.
