Makhachkala, January 14, 2019. Omar Pakalov's photo “Sheep moving to summer pastures” (shot in vicinity of the village of Chokh, Dagestan) was chosen as the best in the photo contest “Deep thoughts” organized and conducted by the well-known popular science geographic channel “National Geographic Russia”.

As the author of the best photo, determined by a jury consisted of Nat-geo.ru editors and the representatives of the Nepal Tourism Office, Omar Pakalov will travel to the highest mountainous country in the world. The photos by Omar Pakalov are placed on the personal page of Russia portal of the National Geographic. Several of them were marked as the “Editor's Choice” in various competitions.

Omar Pakalov is an amateur photographer. This is his hobby. He treats animals in a veterinary clinic in Makhachkala.
