Dagestani takes part in the X Russian-German youth parliament

Makhachkala, December 9, 2014. The Chairman of the Information Policy Committee in the Youth Parliament at the Legislative Assembly RD, a 5th year student of Dagestan State University Leila Bagamaeva represented the North Caucasian Federal District on the X Russian-German youth parliament.

In an interview with the RIA "Dagestan" Bagamaeva noted that participants of two countries raised the following issues: the extent to which the state should regulate the Internet, how much the freedom is possible; what kind of responsibility can and should bear a single person; what legal conditions and which interventions are needed.

"The parliamentary session was held in the format of a business game: participants were granted an opportunity to get engaged in an active dialogue with one another by means of parliamentary debate" - Bagamaeva said.

"The purpose of the Parliament is to promote civil dialogue, as well as to facilitate the emergence of new projects and forms of cooperation among the participants and partner organizations. Delegations from both countries were divided into 4 fractions. The Russian-German Youth Parliament - is an intellectual game, in which different kinds of discussions round tables, debates, meetings, etc. are held. Traditionally, the event is held annually, alternately in the building of the legislative body of one of regions of the Russian Federation or the German lands.

This year, the parliamentary session took place from November 30 to December 5 in the German cities of Berlin and Potsdam. The events were attended by the young people aged 16 - 25 years from Russia and Germany engaged in social activities, as well as the young parliamentarians, the members of youth governments and journalists.
