Makhachkala, July 22, 2019. On July 28 the computer club "Cyber-Zone" located in the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala will host cyber tournament in the online game World Of Tanks. The event is organized by Wargaming.net and the PJSC Rostelecom with support provided by the Ministry for Digital development, Communications and Mass media of the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan and the trading House “Kirgu”.

It is reported that apart from the game “gold” of Wargaming the winners of the cyber tournament will receive prizes from Rostelecom and the partners. The winners will then represent the Republic of Dagestan at the inter-regional tournament. As to Sergey Snegirev, the Minister for Digital development, Communication and Mass media, the eSports games in the modern digital space acquire wider popularity.

“The number of Internet users is growing every day. The more advanced high-speed data transfer technologies are emerging. The very structure of communication between people changes. All this has a significant impact on the development of the eSports industry both in Russia and the world” - the minister said.

Snegirev also pointed out that Dagestanis are very keen on supporting Dagestan gamers: “We will continue creating all the conditions for the development of this sport in the republic to achieve best practices in the digital sports”.
The cyber tournament will be held on July 28. The format of the tournament team is "3 vs 3". 10 teams with each team member aged 18 and more are allowed to participate.
