Dagestan to host Children's Film Festival

Makhachkala, July 19, 2016. The coordinator of Dagestan branch of the "Russian movement of students" Lyudmila Saidova has announced today the intention to hold the next Children's Film Festival in the camp "Kostyer" located in Buinakskiy district of the republic. The event is scheduled for July 21-22. According to Saidova, the event will bring together about one hundred participants.

The first day will be devoted to the master classes for the young filmmakers. By results of master classes, the experts will determine the young film directors and grant them an opportunity to shoot movie with friends and counselors as actors.

"The experts will tell the children about how to shoot an interesting movie. Besides, they will learn about the basic principles and rules for filmmaking, scenario writing, plot composition, selection of actors by means of tests, auditions and much more. The next day, each team will show its film to be evaluated by the companions from the other teams. The winners will receive the grand prize “Paper Oscar”. The other participants will be awarded with the memorable gifts and prizes from the "Russian movement of students" - Saidova informed.

The republican Ministry for Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science are the festival organizers.
