Dagestan to be represented by 150 delegates at World Youth Festival in Sochi
A press conference with the participation of Dagestani Youth Affairs Minister Magomed Kurbanov and his deputy Sonia Magomedova has taken place today, October 12 in Makhachkala. The officials spoke on the issues related to the republic’s participation in the event.
A 150-person delegation will represent Dagestan at the Festival. Besides, 40 Dagestani volunteers will take part in the forum. They have already arrived in Sochi and are preparing for the official opening ceremony. Within the framework of the Festival, 50 representatives of 33 foreign countries will visit the republic. They will get familiarized with the history, traditions and folklore of the republic through an intense cultural program.
The interim Head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasilyev is expected to attend the opening ceremony of the festival. In total, approx. 20 thousand people from 183 countries will come to the youth forum.
