Makhachkala, May 3, 2017. On May 5, Dagestani Theater of Poetry will host the photo exhibition "Unknown Persons of the Immortal Regiment" fr om the funds of the Central State Archive of Dagestan and hold a poetic evening "Again spring in the whole world ..." wh ere poems of war veterans and war songs will be read.

As to the spokesperson, on the eve of the event, the Theater of Poetry will present a musical and poetic composition with the participation of artists of different Dagestani theatrical troupes, schoolchildren and students.

The exhibition "Unknown Persons of the Immortal Regiment " is based on Valentina Makarova’s materials, whose name the Museum of Military Glory in Makhachkala bears. Makarova was searching for the names and home addresses of those who died in hospitals and were buried in Makhachkala military cemetery during the Great Patriotic War.

"Valentina Makarova gave the news that someone’s father, brother or son was not missing, so, the relatives could put flowers on their graves.

It should be noted that not all names were found. Neither names, nor addresses, nor letters; only photographs were in the personal belongings of many soldiers. These photographs formed the base for the exhibition "Unknown Persons of the Immortal Regiment", the source concluded.
