Dagestan surgeon recognized as best physician of 2016

Makhachkala, October 7, 2016. The head of the surgical department of Dagestan hospital №2 Magomed Abdulzhalilov won the first place in the All-Russian contest "The Year’s Best Physician" in the special nomination as the organizer of the surgical service, the republican Public Health Ministry official reports.

This year, the competition has been held in 36 nominations, the special committee examined 658 doctors’ works from 66 Russian regions. The selection was carried out in three stages. The first phase took place in the medical institutions; the decision about the winners was received during the general staff meeting. The second stage was the regional; the central committee concluded the results of the third phase.  

Magomed Abdulzhalilov is a surgeon of the highest category, PhD, the chief freelance specialist surgeon of Dagestan Ministry of Health. Abdulzhalilov was born in 1957 in the village of Dzhibahni of Kaytagsky district. Having graduated Dagestan State Medical Institute in 1981, Abdulzhalilov passed a clinical residency in surgery. From 1985 to 1993 Dagestan surgeon worked as a doctor of surgical department in Makhachkala hospital. Abdulzhalilov has many diplomas and awards. One of them - from the Dagestan government for active operations in the aftermath of armed groups on the territory of the republic in 1999.

The winners of the All-Russian contest "The Best Doctor of the Year" will be awarded on October 14 in Moscow.
