Makhachkala, September 17, 2015. The Cossack non-governmental organisations may be established soon in two cities of Dagestan - Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, Valentin Ivanov, Ataman of Kizlyar special border districts of the Terek Cossack Army says.
"We plan to create the Cossack communities in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, where Russians are still living, some of whom are retired military personnel", - the ataman said.
Exactly for this purpose, a program in support of the Cossacks for 2015-2016 years was adopted in Dagestan. Besides, the subprograms "Support for the Russian population living and returning to the Republic of Dagestan in the years 2015-2017" and "State support of the Cossack communities in the Republic of Dagestan for 2015-2017 years” are provided in the republic.
It is also planned to build Cossack cadet corps, as well as to repair the Cossack council in Kizlyar. As it was reported, about RUR 40 million will be allocated from the federal and the republican budgets within the framework of the federal target program “Strengthening the unity of the Russian nation and the cultural development of the peoples of Russia for 2014-2020 years”.
It is worth noting that currently more than 1400 Cossacks live in Tarumov and Kizlyar districts of Dagestan.
