Makhachkala, June 24, 2018. On June 25, the village of Gunib will be presented to the whole world within the second round of the art-residence "Russia in the village of Gunib". The project will show the world the history, customs, cuisine and creativity of residents of Dagestan village. It will be presented by Gunibsky Local History Museum, which became the winner of the contest for the grant of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation "Changing Museum in Changing World".

The audience will be shown the installations of the three first round winners. Their works depict the stories on Gunib's past, the national cuisine and traditions. The project provides for holding the action "Memory" focused on the historical details about the capture of Imam Shamil during the Caucasian War.
