Makhachkala, May 2, 2019. The funds have been allocated for the study of phase transitions, critical and magnetic properties in spin systems with frustrations and hard / soft heterostructures. Magomedzagir Badiev, a physicist from Dagestan, has won a grant of 6 million rubles from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), the press service of Dagestan Scientific Center (DSC) of the Russian Academy of Sciences reports.

According to the source, Magomedzagir Badiyev, a senior researcher at the Institute of Physics of Dagestan Scientific Center will be engaged in a two-year research work to study phase transitions, critical and magnetic properties in spin systems with frustrations and hard / soft heterostructures.

It should be noted that Badiev is the author of more than 100 scientific works, the head of several RFBR projects. He studies the critical properties of models of frustrated spin systems using Monte-Carlo methods. This is one of the fundamental problems of statistical physics.
