Makhachkala, December 6, 2018. The director of the National Museum n.a. Taho-Godi Pakhrudin Magomedov considers it important to establish cooperation ties among the travel agencies and Dagestan museums. Magomedov stated this at the meeting of the Republican Museum Council under the Government of Dagestan.

“This practice would help us to attract many new visitors and to raise the level of stability and self-reliance. The experience of the museums in Kostroma region serves as an excellent example of viability of the concept. Thanks to the museum tourism, they annually increase their extra-budgetary revenues. If creative approach implemented, we can also succeed in this direction” - Magomedov said.

Magomedov noted the rapid increase in tourist traffic observed in the republic in recent years. In these conditions, Magomedov says, it is important to establish links with the tour operators and offer them interesting modern projects. Noteworthy, the meeting participants summed up the cultural and educational action "Night of Museums", discussed the issues of increasing the indicators for government orders and the work plan of the Council for 2019.
