On June 27, the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of Dagestan held a regular drift tournament in Makhachkala. According to the executive director of the Federation, Minatulla Gereykhanov, experienced and eminent pilots, including those fr om the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, took part in the event. They demonstrated all their skills on a specially prepared track.

“We have opened a new site near the Berezka beach and the shipyard, which is excellent for such large-scale events. Besides, we organized a special demo-action wh ere every resident and guest of the republic could see unique brands of cars” – Gereykhanov said.

Speaking about the importance of event, Gereykhanov noted its attractiveness for the tourists arriving in the region and the necessity to draw drivers’ attention to the observance of traffic rules and the use of only specialized grounds for racing. The FAMS league was held in several disciplines, including singles and doubles. Admission was free for all the comers.
