On behalf of Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the republic was represented by a large delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jafarov at the rally in Chechnya
The rally was initiated by Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov to strongly protest against the vulgarity, immorality, lack of culture and shamelessness of the authors of cartoons on Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

The speakers to the event were: Chairman of the Russian Spiritual Board of Muslims Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the North Caucasus Muslims Coordination Center I. Berdiev, a prominent Muslim theologian, a direct descendant of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Sheikh Habib Al-Djifri, Bishop of Makhachkala and Grozny Varlaam, and other authoritative religious figures.
