Novosibirsk, November 8, 2019. The I Interfaith Conference "Interfaith Dialogue: Challenge of the day" dedicated to the events of 1999 in Dagestan was held in the city of Novosibirsk. An employee of the republican Ministry for National Policy and Religious Affairs Magomed Magomedov took part in the event as a moderator. Besides, the conference was attended by the employees of city and regional administrations, the representatives of religious communities and organizations.

The participant in the events of 1999 in Dagestan, Colonel Sergey Barykin opened the event with an introductory speech. He spoke about the events and praised the heroism of the Dagestan peoples. During the conference, different reports on the topic of interethnic and interfaith relations in modern society were delivered.

The Conference finished with an adoption of resolution. Besides, the representatives of Dagestan delegation visited Novosibirsk Military University and spoke to the cadets.
