Dagestan delegation participates in International Conference on Islamic Religious Education in Crimea

Makhachkala, October 12, 2015. Dagestan delegation takes part in the International Conference on Islamic Religious Education in the Crimea, the press service of Dagestan Institute of Humanities reports.

The International scientific-practical conference entitled "Islamic education in Crimea: Historical milestones and ways to revive it" held in Crimea on October 11-12.

The event is dedicated to the 515 anniversary of Zyndzhyrly-Madrasa and to the memory of its founder Mengli Giray Khan.The Muslim scholars, theologists from Turkey, Moscow, Tatarstan, Dagestan and other Russian regions have come to take part in the conference.

Dagestan delegation is led by the chairman of Dagestan committee on freedom of conscience and religious organizations Suleyman Magomedov, the first deputy mufti of Dagestan Ahmad Haji Kakhaev. The vice-rector for public relations and mass media Dawud Tumalaev presents Dagestan Humanitarian Institute.

As it was informed, that the Mufti of Crimea Emirali Ablaev, the mufti of Tatarstan Kamil-hazrat Samigullin, the mufti of Moscow and the Central region of Chuvashia Albir Hazrat Krganov and other religious figures made reports at the conference.

The conference participants discussed the ways and trends of the Revival of Islamic education in Crimea, the interrelations of Islam and Science during the Golden Horde period, the Islamic education in the Tauride province of Crimea during the Crimean Autonomous Republic and the education and science in the Crimean Khanate.

The conference was initiated by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, the Found for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, and others.
