Makhachkala, December 28, 2017. The solemn celebration of the 45th anniversary of Dagestan State Technical University has taken place today, December 28, in Makhachkala. The interim Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov, the heads of departments, universities and other political figures took part in the solemn event on this occasion.

The celebratory event was held as part of the annual awarding ceremony of the students’ contest "Success". At the very beginning of the event the guests were greeted by the rector of DSTU Tagir Ismailov.

Dagestan State Technical University is one of the largest educational, scientific and cultural centers of the south of Russia. The higher educational institution is of innovative type, where all conditions for the study and development of students and graduate students are created. DSTU unites a large multinational pedagogical staff, the backbone of which consists of 126 professors – the doctors of science, approx. 500 associate professors and candidates of science.

This year, the Educational Center for Gifted Children "Sirius-Altair" started functioning on the basis of DSTU
